Mumbai, July 19 (NationPress) Actor and Bigg Boss 18 champion Karan Veer Mehra was seen outside the Excel Entertainment office and is allegedly being considered as the new villain for the Ranveer Singh-led film Don 3, following Vikrant Massey's official departure from the project.
A source close to the situation revealed, “Nothing is confirmed yet, but Karan is definitely being considered. His recent transformation and screen presence in Silaa has impressed a lot of people in the industry.”
The action film, directed by Farhan Akhtar, is slated for a December 2026 release.
This film marks the third chapter in the Don series, which began with the 1978 Hindi-language action thriller film Don. The remake series kicked off in 2006 with the release of Don: The Chase Begins Again, followed by Don 2 in 2011.
The original film was penned by Salim–Javed, helmed by Chandra Barot, and features Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role. The remake series was crafted by Javed Akhtar and his son Farhan Akhtar, with Shah Rukh Khan taking on the titular role.
