Mumbai, Nov 30 (NationPress) Actor Karan Veer Mehra has shared insights into the filmmakers who have significantly impacted his artistic journey.

In an exclusive discussion with IANS, he commended Vishal Bhardwaj, Rajkumar Hirani, and Omung Kumar, referring to them as visionary storytellers who have transformed Indian cinema in their unique ways. Karan reflected on their distinctive techniques and powerful narratives, expressing respect for how each has played a role in enhancing the art of filmmaking and motivating artists like him.

The ‘Pavitra Rishta’ star revealed, “I have always aspired to collaborate with Vishal Bharadwaj sir. He is a wizard when it comes to crafting complex characters and genuine human emotions. The way he draws intensity from his actors and weaves poetry even in sorrow is something I hold in high regard. As an artist, I crave roles that push my boundaries, and he is a master in that realm.”

Regarding Hirani, Karan noted, “Hirani sir possesses the exceptional ability to create cinema that is both socially relevant and entertaining. His films evoke laughter, tears, and contemplation simultaneously. He finds goodness even amidst conflict, and I believe an actor flourishes when mentored by such storytelling.”

The ‘Bigg Boss 18’ champion, currently working with filmmaker Omung Kumar on a forthcoming project, lauded the director for his vision and emotional sensitivity. “Omung sir perceives beauty in adversity and victory in struggle. He is a perfectionist with a deeply emotional perspective, and I feel fortunate to witness his creative process. He draws out sincerity from an actor without ever raising his voice — that’s an exceptional trait.”

He wrapped up by stating, “Every actor has a wishlist. For me, this is my dream trio — directors who touch hearts, challenge minds, and honor performance.”

On the work front, Karan is preparing for his next major release “Sila,” directed by Omung Kumar. In this film, he will portray the character Zehraak, with additional details about the movie kept under wraps.
