In a heartfelt post, Bebo conveyed that she continually strives to walk in her “amma's footsteps. On her Instagram page, Kareena shared several snapshots, captioning the post, “Happy birthday dearest Mother-in-law.” The first image features Saif Ali Khan alongside his mother, Sharmila Tagore, who is joyfully holding little Jeh. Both are seen beaming as they pose together. The subsequent photo captures Kareena walking alongside Sharmila, with an overlay reading, “Always trying to follow in your footsteps.” The final touching image showcases Sharmila Tagore playing with her grandson Jeh in a park.

Kareena frequently expresses her admiration for her mother-in-law, describing her as “the most elegant and graceful woman.” She has often shared her appreciation for Sharmila’s warmth, inclusivity, and her remarkable ability to juggle work and family life.

Back in April, the ‘Udta Punjab’ actress praised Sharmila Tagore’s return to Bengali cinema, declaring her as the original Bengal Tigress.

In a video shared by the Puratawn team, Kareena remarked, “Hi, this is Kareena Kapoor Khan, and I’d like to send my best wishes to the iconic, legendary Sharmila Tagore, my mother-in-law, who is finally returning to Bengali cinema after almost 14 years. She was, and always will be the original Bengal tigress.”

Directed by Suman Ghosh, “Puratawn” focuses on the relationship between a mother, played by Sharmila Tagore, and her daughter, portrayed by Rituparna Sengupta. The film delves into themes such as age-related memory loss and the lasting impact of the past. It also features Indraneil Sengupta in a pivotal role alongside Rituparna Sengupta.
