Mumbai, Nov 29 (NationPress) The Bollywood sensation Kareena Kapoor Khan infused her Friday night with a touch of Hollywood nostalgia, indulging in the classic musical “Grease” featuring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.

Kareena shared a glimpse of her cinematic experience on her Instagram stories, posting a screenshot from the memorable finale of the 1978 film “Grease”, showcasing the iconic dance between Travolta and Newton-John.

Accompanying her post, she wrote: “Friday movie night. IYKYK.”

Directed by Randal Kleiser, Grease was adapted from the 1972 stage musical by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. The storyline follows greaser Danny Zuko and the Australian transfer student Sandy Olsson as their summer romance blossoms.

Upon its release, Grease achieved both critical and commercial success, becoming the highest-grossing musical film of its time. A sequel, Grease 2, released in 1982, featured Maxwell Caulfield and Michelle Pfeiffer as a new generation of greasers.

Some original cast members returned for the sequel. In 2023, a brief prequel series, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, premiered on Paramount+, but it only lasted for one season.

Currently, Kareena is in the spotlight for the Netflix special “Dining with the Kapoors.”

This hour-long special unites cousins, siblings, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and in-laws for a vibrant and heartfelt celebration of family ties. Directed by Smriti Mundhra and produced by Armaan, “Dining with the Kapoors” reveals the family’s treasured customs.

On the professional front, Kareena was last seen in Singham Again alongside Ajay Devgn, which also stars Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff.

She is currently filming ‘Daayra’, directed by Meghna Gulzar and featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran. “Daayra” explores the intricate issues of modern society, tackling urgent and unsettling realities.
