Chennai, Oct 24 (NationPress) Director Vikarnan Ashok’s highly anticipated Tamil movie, ‘Mask’, starring actor Kavin in the lead role, is set to release globally on November 21 this year, as confirmed by its producers on Friday.

Actress Andrea Jeremiah, who is not only acting in but also producing the film, shared the exciting news on her X timeline.

She posted, "The wait is almost over... Mark your calendars! November 21st #Mask."

Kavin also expressed his excitement on X, stating, "November 21 Unmasking #Mask" and added "Team Mask."

Insiders reveal that in addition to her role as producer, Andrea is expected to portray the film's antagonist.

This marks a return for Andrea Jeremiah to villainous roles, having previously played a similar character in Vetri Maran’s Vada Chennai.

Moreover, this film will showcase Kavin in what is described as his first-ever explosive action entertainer.

Interestingly, the posters have the phrase ‘Vaathiyaaraga Vetri Maran’, sparking speculation that Vetrimaran plays a teacher in the film. However, the recently released first single clarified that he serves as a mentor for this project.

With significant buzz among cinema lovers, the film features music by National Award-winning composer G V Prakash and cinematography by the esteemed R D Rajashekar.

Editing is handled by Ramar, while Jacki and Vijay Iyyappan are in charge of art direction.

Mask is a collaborative production between Andrea and S P Chockalingam, and is presented by Vetri Maran’s Grassroot Film Company.
