Los Angeles, Nov 19 (NationPress) - Renowned actor Keanu Reeves has conveyed his heartfelt thanks to the FBI for the return of items that were pilfered from his residence during a burglary in 2023.
The 61-year-old star's home in Los Angeles fell victim to criminals two years ago; however, US authorities collaborated with Chilean officials to track down some of his stolen treasures, including a customized Rolex watch highlighted in his ‘John Wick’ films, and successfully returned them to him, as reported by Female First UK.
Keanu, who portrays an assassin drawn out of retirement after facing burglary threats in the John Wick series, expressed his gratitude in a handwritten note, stating, "It is with profound gratitude and appreciation that I am writing this letter. Thank you so much for all your effort, dedication, professionalism and cross-border cooperation. My warmest regards, Keanu."
The Chief of Police for the Los Angeles Police Department, Jim McDonnell, remarked, "This case highlights that crime knows no borders and emphasizes the importance of our international collaborations in delivering justice to victims in Los Angeles. The retrieval of these stolen items, made possible through the exceptional teamwork between the Policia de Investigaciones de Chile, the FBI, and our detectives, sends a powerful message that organized crime will be pursued globally. I take pride in the work our team has accomplished with our federal and international partners to hold these criminal networks accountable."
The items taken from the actor's home were recovered in July and have now been restored to him. The collection included six watches valued together at approximately $125,000.
Meanwhile, the fifth installment of ‘John Wick’ is officially in the works with Keanu Reeves. Director Chad Stahelski and producers are reportedly gearing up for the upcoming film.
