Mumbai, Oct 18 (NationPress) Actress Konkona Sen Sharma, who has been receiving a warm reception for her latest OTT production, 'Search: The Naina Murder Case', stated that she typically does not dictate the tone and pitch of her character unless the director specifically seeks her input.
During a recent promotional interview with IANS, the actress expressed that determining the tone and pitch is not her role as an actor. She prefers to adhere to the vision set by her directors, as it is their interpretation of the story that matters most. Konkona shared, “As an actor, I don’t usually delve into what the pitch or tone should be. I don’t feel comfortable doing that, and it isn't my responsibility. For this project, I was thrilled for two main reasons: firstly, it is based on the incredibly successful Danish series 'Forbrydelsen', which I have seen a remake of and found to be fantastic. It features the iconic detective Sara Lund, who has a devoted following. Secondly, I was excited to work with Rohan Sippy, the director, as we have collaborated in the past and have a great rapport, making me eager to participate.”
She further elaborated, “I really appreciate the dynamic between the two characters, Jai and Sanyukta, played by my co-star Surya Sharma. I became familiar with Surya through this show, so I didn’t focus on the tone or pitch. I reviewed the script thoroughly, engaged in numerous rehearsals, and addressed any questions or differences that arose.”
'Search: The Naina Murder Case' is now streaming on JioHotstar.
