Mumbai, June 26 (NationPress) Actress Konkona Sen Sharma enjoys being in a unique mindset prior to filming her scenes. As she approaches the release of her new movie 'Metro...In Dino', she emphasizes the necessity for actors to eliminate external distractions and manage their emotions effectively before stepping in front of the camera.
In a recent discussion with IANS, she elaborated on the idea of emotional detachment in acting.
When questioned about her conversations with director Anurag Basu regarding specific scenes or sequences, she stated, “Our discussions didn’t focus on the structure or tone of a scene or the character itself. Instead, we explored the world and the characters, as well as their life stages, rather than the granular details. While I read my story, the on-set experience is more about the atmosphere than anything else.”
She further noted that the scene's mood emanates from the director and is subsequently absorbed by the heads of departments and the actors.
Konkona shared with IANS, “On Anurag’s sets, there is no place for negativity, malice, or even stress. Actors need to adopt a neutral stance. When you embody a character, your personal emotions must remain subdued.”
“If you're preoccupied with emotions like stress or negativity, it can inadvertently seep into your performance,” she added.
Produced by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series in collaboration with Anurag Basu Productions Pvt. Ltd., 'Metro In Dino' is set to be released in theaters on July 4, 2025.
