Mumbai, June 15 (NationPress) Actress Neena Gupta, collaborating for the first time with Anurag Basu on the anticipated film 'Metro... In Dino', shared an intriguing incident that occurred on set. She was all set for her scene when she was instructed to return to her van.
In an interview with IANS ahead of the film's release, Neena described Anurag as an intuitive and insightful director, full of creative ideas right up until the moment of filming.
“When we arrived on set, we were informed by the production team to head back to our van as preparations would take a bit longer. I spotted Dada in a corner of the set, deep in thought. Curious, I inquired, ‘What’s going on with Dada?’ The assistant replied, ‘He wants to think.’ It was amusing how he suddenly needed a moment to ponder,” she recounted with a laugh.
Neena further emphasized that Anurag has an entire script in his mind, and the most enjoyable aspect of collaborating with him is his ability to improvise spontaneously.
“While we had memorized our lines and completed a couple of takes, he would often suggest, ‘Neena, let’s try it this way or that way.’ I would think to myself, ‘What a fantastic idea! Why didn’t I come up with that?’ Working with him has been a dream come true. When he invited me to be part of this film, I eagerly responded, ‘I don’t need to know anything, I just want to work with you,’” she added with enthusiasm.
