Mumbai, Dec 28 (NationPress) Renowned television star Krystle D’Souza has shared her thoughts on stepping in for Tamannaah Bhatia in the highly anticipated ‘Shararat’ from the film “Dhurandhar.”

In a heartfelt conversation with IANS, she noted that it all boils down to destiny, asserting, “What’s meant to be, will be.” Krystle commended Tamannaah for her skill and grace, reflecting on how sometimes, opportunities align perfectly as they should. When inquiries surfaced regarding claims that Tamannaah was turned away for the song, the ‘Chehre’ actress expressed her lack of insight into the behind-the-scenes decisions but lauded Tamannaah’s talent, labeling her as ‘amazing.’

She remarked, “I had no clue about all this; she’s incredible, she’s stunning, and she excels in her craft. More power to her—what’s destined for someone, they receive. I believe this was meant for me, it was meant for Ayesha, and we embraced it. Yet, that doesn’t diminish Tamannaah’s beauty or her remarkable performance skills.”

“Perhaps she would have infused her unique flair into the song—she carries her own charm and brilliance, which is fantastic. I take pride in every woman achieving great heights, and I wish to witness more women delivering astounding performances while supporting one another,” she further expressed.

Krystle D’Souza and Ayesha Khan are featured in the track “Shararat” from Dhurandhar. The catchy song is performed by popular Punjabi vocalist Jasmine Sandlas and Madhubanti Bagchi.

For those unaware, choreographer Vijay Ganguly recently mentioned in an interview that he initially thought of Tamannaah Bhatia for the song, but director Aditya Dhar did not endorse the idea. After Vijay’s comments gained traction, he took to his Instagram stories to clarify that the ‘Baahubali’ actress was never truly considered for the role.

In his clarification, the choreographer stated, “To clarify: Tamannaah Bhatia was never under consideration due to her immense star power, which might have overshadowed the specific requirements of this scene. In Dhurandhar, the music is intertwined with a pivotal moment where tension is crucial. The creators chose two performers to maintain focus on the story’s development. This decision was made to preserve the film’s atmosphere and ensure the narrative remains central to the sequence.”

Vijay Ganguly concluded, “I genuinely appreciate discussions surrounding cinema and the various layers involved in filmmaking. However, I have often hesitated to voice my thoughts because sometimes words can be selectively taken, misrepresented, or sensationalized to cater to headlines instead of the art. It’s unfortunate that instead of keeping the conversation centered on the song and the creative intentions behind Shararat, the focus has shifted to comparisons between two remarkable artists, using strong and reductive terms like ‘rejections,’ which was never the intent of what was conveyed.”

He wrapped up by stating, “Cinema is a collaborative effort. It thrives on respect, nuance, and context. I hope we can redirect the spotlight to where it truly belongs—on the work and the many individuals who invest their hearts into it.”
