Mumbai, July 22 (NationPress) Actor Kush Jotwani, who portrayed Anand in Anurag Basu's latest film "Metro In Dino", discussed his connection with co-star Aditya Roy Kapur.
In an exclusive interview with IANS, Kush recounted meeting Aditya for the first time during the filming of "Metro...In Dino".
He shared, "At first, I was cautious about respecting his personal space, but he effortlessly made me feel comfortable. He showed genuine interest in my life, which really helped us connect. We chatted about motorcycles, travel, and our vacations together."
Kush described the experience as beautiful, mentioning that he also enjoyed quality moments with director Basu throughout the shoot.
Reflecting on working with the acclaimed director, he noted, "Anurag Basu sir is someone you truly appreciate only after collaborating with him. On set, he’s omnipresent—sometimes behind the camera, sometimes directing, and occasionally even acting as the DOP! His brother also helps with the camera work."
He continued, "Basu is a blend of fun and unpredictability—one moment he’s joking or dancing in a wig, and the next he’s singing or savoring snacks with us. Yet, when it’s time to work, he’s intensely focused."
Kush remarked, "His approach is distinctive and offers a valuable learning experience for any actor. There’s no pressure, just a flow of creativity."
He acted alongside a talented ensemble cast in the film, including Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Konkona Sen Sharma, Anupam Kher, Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Ali Fazal.
Discussing his experience with such a remarkable cast, Kush described it as "wonderful".
He expressed, "They are all genuinely lovely people. Initially, I felt anxious since it was my first time working with such prominent figures, and naturally, I felt some pressure. But once I was on set and engaged with them, I found them to be grounded and approachable. We had many conversations, making the experience truly delightful."
