Mumbai, Sep 20 (NationPress) Actor Lakshya, who plays the lead role in the recently launched streaming series ‘The Ba*ds of Bollywood’, expressed that the narrative of the show is deeply rooted and is sure to resonate with all audiences.
The actor engaged in a discussion with IANS in the BKC area of Mumbai as part of the promotional activities for the series.
He shared with IANS, “I formed a connection, a very profound connection with the material, with the script. The script arrived later because we received it once the casting was finalized. That was when we all had the chance to read it. The first scene I got for the audition is also featured in the trailer, where I converse with Sahher Bambba’s character and say, ‘Sitaare toh bahut hain par Aasmaan ek hi hai.’ That moment felt incredibly personal to me.”
He added, “I share a similar attitude. Although I may not showcase it openly, it resides within me. He’s a boy from Delhi with a mindset akin to mine. The world is vast, filled with humor and experiences, but the show struck a chord in my heart. I felt a connection; it felt like my own story.”
“I genuinely hope that anyone who watches this show can relate and think, ‘I see myself in this.’ Because it’s a narrative that is very grounded and tied to real emotions. The world may be anything, but the feelings we encounter in our daily lives are universal,” he concluded.
‘The Ba*ds of Bollywood’ marks the directorial debut of Aryan Khan, the eldest son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. It is also his initial project as a creator, co-written with Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan. The series is available for streaming on Netflix.
