Chennai, March 19 (NationPress) The production team behind the much-anticipated film 'Leader', directed by R.S. Durai Senthilkumar and starring businessman-turned-actor Legend Saravanan, has officially revealed that this action-packed drama will be released globally on April 9.

Additionally, the film has received clearance for release from the Central Board of Film Certification, earning a U/A certificate.

Director Durai Senthilkumar took to his X page to unveil a promotional poster from the production team, stating, "FROM APRIL 09th #LEADER."

The excitement among fans has been heightened by a teaser released earlier. The teaser opens with a voiceover from Saravanan, stating, "I have to stay by my daughter's side forever. And for that, if I have to take on this entire world, I will do so and emerge victorious." The teaser also shows his daughter expressing a desire to be with him always. However, a friend questions her, "But how can you stay with him forever?" It appears that Saravanan portrays a character named Sakthivel, suggesting that the film will be filled with high-stakes action as a father fights to remain with his daughter.

According to sources from the film's production team, the narrative centers around an ordinary individual caught in a fierce conflict between the underworld and law enforcement. "'Leader' delves into how he navigates this intense situation while safeguarding himself and his loved ones," they explained.

Created with a substantial budget by Legend Saravana Stores Productions, this film promises to tell the gripping tale of the extraordinary hurdles an ordinary man faces.

Sources indicate that R.S. Durai Senthilkumar, known for his critically acclaimed works like 'Ethir Neechal', 'Kaaki Sattai', 'Kodi', 'Pattas', and 'Garudan', has crafted this film as an engaging entertainer.

The filming took place across several locations, starting in Thoothukudi and extending to Jaipur, Ooty, and Georgia, before wrapping up in Chennai. Rich in mass appeal, action, suspense, and excitement, 'Leader' is meticulously designed to align with modern trends and audience expectations.

Bollywood star Payal Rajput plays the female lead, accompanied by a talented ensemble cast that includes Shaam, Andrea, Santhosh Prathap, Lal, Baahubali Prabhakar, Amritha Aiyer, VTV Ganesh, Aishwarya, Aranthangi Nisha, Iyal, Jeyasmirtha, Pathman, Yogiram, OAK Sundar, Mahanadhi Shankar, Mariyam George, “Adithya” Kathir, Vel Arunachalam, Niranjan, Shoban Babu, and Ashok Pandian.
