Chennai, March 25 (NationPress) The production team behind the much-anticipated film 'Leader', directed by R.S. Durai Senthilkumar and starring the entrepreneur-turned-actor Legend Saravanan, has revealed that this action-packed drama will now be released globally on April 3.

Previously, the release date was set for April 9 of this year.

Confirming this update on social media, director Durai Senthilkumar stated, "The rise of a true leader begins!! #Leader Worldwide release on April 3, 2026. The film has already received approval for release from the Central Board of Film Certification, with a U/A rating.

A teaser that was previously launched has heightened fans' anticipation.

The teaser features Saravanan's voiceover stating, "I have to be by my daughter's side forever. If that means facing the entire world, I will do so and win." The clip also shows a young girl expressing her wish to always be with her father, while her friend questions, "But how can you stay with him forever?" In the film, Saravanan portrays a character named Sakthivel, suggesting a narrative centered around a father's struggle to remain united with his daughter amid intense action sequences.

According to insiders, the storyline revolves around an ordinary individual caught in a fierce battle between the underworld and law enforcement. "'Leader' depicts how he navigates this perilous situation while safeguarding himself and his loved ones," they explained.

Produced with a lavish budget by Legend Saravana Stores Productions, the film tells the gripping tale of an everyday man's extraordinary trials.

R.S. Durai Senthilkumar, known for his critically acclaimed works like 'Ethir Neechal', 'Kaaki Sattai', 'Kodi', 'Pattas', and 'Garudan', aims to deliver an engaging cinematic experience with this film.

Filming took place across diverse locations, beginning in Thoothukudi and extending through Jaipur, Ooty, and Georgia, concluding in Chennai. 'Leader' is packed with dynamic elements, including action, suspense, and thrill, designed to meet modern audience expectations.

Notable Bollywood actress Payal Rajput stars as the female lead, alongside a talented cast that includes Shaam, Andrea, Santhosh Prathap, Lal, Baahubali Prabhakar, Amritha Aiyer, VTV Ganesh, Aishwarya, Aranthangi Nisha, Iyal, Jeyasmirtha, Pathman, Yogiram, OAK Sundar, Mahanadhi Shankar, Mariyam George, “Adithya” Kathir, Vel Arunachalam, Niranjan, Shoban Babu, and Ashok Pandian.
