Mumbai, Dec 20 (NationPress) The renowned Bollywood icon Madhuri Dixit has recently posted stunning images on her social media platform that showcase her as an everlasting beauty. The star of ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’ donned a delicate pink lehenga, perfectly complemented by tasteful accessories, making her look absolutely radiant. With elegant and understated makeup that highlights her natural charm, Madhuri captioned her post as “Shaam Gulaabi” and chose the beloved song 'Slow Motion Angreza' from the acclaimed film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag as the musical backdrop for her pictures.
The actress, who has garnered positive feedback for her role in the newly released series, Mrs Deshpande, recently spoke to IANS about her aspirations of stepping into directing. Despite her extensive experience in the industry, she expressed that she does not currently feel prepared to take on that responsibility.
Madhuri commented, “Many people inquire about this because I have been active for 40 years, which provides a wealth of experience from collaborating with numerous directors, learning from them. But I believe I need to feel fully ready for that role, and at the moment, I am not, though perhaps in the future.”
When asked about her thoughts on female directors making strides in the industry, she reiterated, “Having worked for so long, I’ve gained valuable insights, but readiness is key, and I don’t feel that right now.”
Madhuri also reflected on the changes in filmmaking since her debut in “Abodh” to “Mrs Deshpande”, noting, “Back then, there were only a handful of well-organized producers, unlike today’s structured environment. We relied heavily on spontaneity; now, actors can prepare thoroughly for their roles, benefiting from amenities that were nonexistent when I started.”
She added, “Today, the comfort of actors is prioritized, and we have extensive preparations, character insights, and script readings—luxuries we didn’t have back then.”
