Los Angeles, June 25 (NationPress) Global sensation Priyanka Chopra Jonas' three-year-old daughter Malti Marie firmly believes her name is Moana due to her deep admiration for the Disney character.
The actress shared that her little one is an enormous fan of princesses, especially the lead character from the 2016 animated feature “Moana” and its upcoming 2024 sequel.
During an interview on Good Morning America, Priyanka revealed: “She introduces herself as Malti Marie Moana Chopra Jonas. She insists she's Moana. It’s like her official name in school. She proudly states, 'I'm Malti Marie Moana.'”
Malti enjoys playing dress-up in her mother’s wardrobe, according to reports from femalefirst.co.uk.
Priyanka noted: “She loves coming into my closet, trying on my shoes, and playing with my dresses. While we were preparing for the Met Gala, she wore my gloves and hat, declaring, 'Mama and Gaga are going to a ball, just like Cinderella.'”
Priyanka's husband, Nick Jonas, mentioned that Malti isn’t swayed by his celebrity status and prefers it when he engages in playtime as Moana with her.
He shared with People magazine: “She wants to play Moana and Maui with me, and that time with her is what matters most. At home, I’m just Dad, and that’s incredibly meaningful.”
“The best part of fatherhood is feeling on top of the world, yet she remains completely indifferent to my fame.”
Until recently, Nick was performing in The Last Five Years on Broadway and cherishing “quiet family time” in New York City with Priyanka and Malti.
He told Extra: “We’re enjoying peaceful strolls through Central Park, and that tranquil family time serves as a great reset from the theater. As you saw in the show, it can be pretty intense.”
“With the demanding schedule of eight shows a week, it’s a lot, but it gives me ample time with them in one location, which is a refreshing change from being on the road.”
