Manasi Parekh Breaks New Ground with Her Role in ‘Shubhchintak,’ a Milestone for Gujarati Cinema

Mumbai, Dec 18 (NationPress) Actress Manasi Parekh is prepared to challenge the norms of Gujarati cinema with her audacious role in Shubhchintak, an innovative dark comedy that serves as a pioneering effort for the industry.

Parekh takes on a demanding character in a genre that has seldom been ventured into within Gujarati films. Reflecting on the film, the National Award-winning actress remarked, “Shubhchintak is a genre that hasn’t been explored before in Gujarati cinema. It’s a thrilling dark comedy that is incredibly fast-paced and edgy. It will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. My character experiences a significant transformation to achieve her desires.”

Manasi elaborated, “I enjoy pushing my limits. From portraying a simple housewife in Kutch Express to a clever mathematics professor in Dear Father, a ghost in Jhamkudi to this new role, each film I undertake is unique, and that is the most thrilling aspect of my career.”

Manasi Parekh is widely recognized for her role in Kutch Express, for which she received a national award this year. She also delivered an impressive performance in “Uri: The Surgical Strike” alongside Vicky Kaushal and Mohit Raina.

Parekh has had an exceptional year, with her film “Jhamkudi” becoming the highest-grossing Gujarati film, and its music achieving viral status. Alongside Viraj Ghelani, Manasi expertly entertained audiences with this horror-comedy, a genre that has flourished this year, thanks to hits like “Stree 2” and “Munjya.”

She will soon be seen in the upcoming Gujarati film “Shubhchintak” opposite Marathi actor Swapnil Joshi. The film also features Viraf Patel, Ekta Kansara, Deep Vaidya, and veteran actor Mehul Buch.

Earlier this month, Manasi graced the IFFI in Goa for her film “Jab Khuli Kitaab,” which boasts a remarkable star cast including Dimple Kapadia, Pankaj Kapur, Aparshakti Khurana, Samir Soni, and Supriya Pathak.
