Mumbai, Oct 30 (NationPress) The team behind the forthcoming supernatural thriller “Baramulla” has released a captivating trailer on social media.

On Instagram, Netflix shared, “In this town, nothing is as it seems. Enter the world of ‘Baramulla,’ out 7 November, only on Netflix.” Set against the breathtakingly eerie backdrop of Kashmir, the trailer follows Manav Kaul as DSP Ridwaan Shafi Sayyid, who embarks on a quest to reveal the truth behind a series of enigmatic child vanishings that unsettle the valley.

“Baramulla” narrates the journey of DSP Ridwaan (portrayed by Manav Kaul), a steadfast and disciplined officer called to the town to investigate a alarming sequence of child disappearances. As Ridwaan delves deeper, he becomes ensnared in a tangle of secrets hidden beneath the valley’s socio-political conflicts. Residing in Baramulla with his spouse Gulnaar (Bhasha Sumbli) and their children Noorie (Arista Mehta) and Ayaan (Rohaan Singh), he begins to observe peculiar occurrences in his own household.

Commenting on the film, Aditya Jambhale stated, “With the trailer, we aimed to provide viewers a glimpse into the fascinating realm of Baramulla. The narrative starts as a mystery thriller, but gradually immerses you into something much more emotional and psychological. It’s about fear, not merely the kind that lurks in the dark, but the kind that resides within us, the fear of what the mind refuses to accept. Collaborating with Netflix, along with Jio Studios and B62 Studios, with producers Aditya Dhar, Lokesh Dhar, and Jyoti Deshpande, enabled me to share a very significant story of our times, with the honesty, scale, and vision that stretch the limits of genre, just as the writers, Aditya Dhar, myself, and Monal Thaakar envisioned on paper.”
