Mumbai, Nov 19 (NationPress) Actor Manoj Bajpayee, who is preparing for the 3rd season of the acclaimed streaming series 'The Family Man', has expressed admiration for his co-star Jaideep Ahlawat and the entire cohort from the Film and Television Institute of India.
The two actors recently appeared on a new episode of the quiz-based reality show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' to promote 'The Family Man', during which they shared insights about the legendary host, Amitabh Bachchan, his wife Jaya Bachchan, and her alma mater, FTII, which she shares with Jaideep.
During the show, Manoj remarked, “Jaideep's cohort is regarded as the golden batch of the institute; notable members include Vijay Varma, Rajkummar Rao, Sunny Hinduja, and Jatin Goswami. Such a wealth of talent emerged from that single group.”
Jaideep highlighted his connection with Big B, noting they both graduated from the same institute as Jaya Bachchan.
He stated, “Although this is my first meeting with you, sir, my link to your family is longstanding since I am an alumnus of the same institute that Jaya ji attended.”
Jaideep recounted how tales of Jaya Bachchan's time as a student have become a significant part of the institute's culture. He remembered seniors sharing stories about her group gathering in the old canteen, where students would frequently return just to relive those memories.
“People went there to study… we went there to listen,” Amitabh Bachchan added with a smile.
This episode captures heartfelt moments of film school nostalgia, artistic heritage, and the profound respect that India’s top actors hold for the Bachchan family.
'Kaun Banega Crorepati' is broadcast Monday to Friday on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV.
