Miley Cyrus Shares Heartfelt Message Amidst LA Wildfires: 'My Soul Aches for Those Affected'

Los Angeles, Jan 12 (NationPress) Actress and singer Miley Cyrus has expressed her deep emotions in a recent post regarding the ongoing wildfires in LA, stating that Los Angeles symbolizes 'living the dream', but the current scene is one of wreckage and destruction.
In her post, she shared a photo of her Malibu home that was destroyed years ago, reflecting on her personal loss of the multi-million dollar mansion she once shared with former husband Liam Hemsworth, as reported by aceshowbiz.com.
She articulated the pain of confronting a pile of rubble instead of the loved ones she anticipated greeting her at home. "It's a feeling you don't ever forget. My soul aches for those experiencing this devastation firsthand," wrote the “Wrecking Ball” singer.
Cyrus went on to say: "Los Angeles represents 'living the dream,' but the reality today is wreckage and destruction."
She expressed her appreciation for organizations like the Malibu Foundation, which she co-founded in 2018, and pledged her personal support for multiple relief initiatives.
"Time, resources, and dedication from inside and outside our community will heal us. But it hurts deeply for now... Love always, Miley," she concluded.
Other celebrities have also stepped up to aid wildfire relief. Kim Kardashian is providing essential supplies through her Skims brand, while Jamie Lee Curtis has made a generous donation of $1 million. Paris Hilton initiated a relief fund after her Malibu beach house was lost and promised to match donations up to $100,000.
Halle Berry and Snoop Dogg have donated clothing to victims, while Prince Harry and Meghan Markle volunteered in kitchens, assisting in feeding first responders and distributing essential items to those in need. Jennifer Garner has also offered her help by serving meals from a food truck to the affected community.
As of now, at least 16 fatalities have been confirmed, with over 12,000 structures either damaged or destroyed in the raging wildfires that began last week in Los Angeles.
Authorities have issued warnings that conditions may deteriorate further in the coming days, as the devastating wildfires continue to sweep through various areas of Los Angeles County, causing widespread disruptions, including school closures and the cancellation of entertainment, sports, and community events.
The Los Angeles Unified School District, the second-largest public school district in the United States, closed its schools on Thursday and Friday to protect students and staff from hazardous air quality. Superintendent Alberto Carvalho emphasized that traveling to school posed greater risks than remaining at home, especially for children with respiratory issues.
Some campuses located near evacuation zones have also faced power outages and low attendance prior to the announcements of closures.
Currently, six wildfires are still active in Los Angeles County, consuming nearly 36,000 acres. One of the largest, the Palisades fire, has already burned over 21,300 acres and damaged or destroyed more than 5,300 structures.
On the east side of Los Angeles, fires in Eaton Canyon and Highland Park have impacted schools and homes, with reports indicating damage to two elementary schools and sections of Palisades Charter High School. The Eaton Fire has ravaged close to 14,000 acres, with as many as 5,000 structures affected.
