Mumbai, Oct 7 (NationPress) Actor and fitness enthusiast Milind Soman celebrated his wife, Ankita Konwar, for achieving the remarkable feat of being the first Assamese woman to finish a full Ironman triathlon.
Sharing a series of motivational images and videos from the event in Estonia, the 'Bheja Fry' star expressed on his official Instagram account, "Ankita Konwar from India, you are an IRONMAN!!!!! Magic words on the magic carpet (Smiling emoji) I am so incredibly proud of you, my love! So, Estonia 70.3 served as the perfect warm-up, and Ironman Barcelona, your first full Ironman was a blast with our friends @arjunkawle & @dhirenbontra (Smiling emoji) And I hear you are the first Assamese woman to complete a full Ironman!! Wow!!! (sic)."
Milind, expressing his joy at completing his second Ironman, added, "So thrilled we could do this together (red heart emoji) My second Ironman, 10 years after my first, and over half an hour faster—so happy. 60 is the new 50 (tough out emoji) What an incredible event and life experience; it truly embodies the saying #anythingispossible! Thank you @ironmantri @ironmantrispain...Thank you @carlesiturbe."
Earlier, Milind had shared the exciting news of both him and Ankita finishing the Ironman triathlon, stating on the photo-sharing platform, "Aaaand weee did iiiiiit!!!! Ankita and I completed the Ironman 70.3, commonly referred to as the half Ironman, in the stunning city of Tallinn, Estonia. :) 1.9 km swim in freezing cold water, rainy weather throughout the 90 km cycling, and finally the 21 km run on fatigued legs, but Ankita finished it in an impressive time of 7 hrs 5 min. So proud of her, and I (as usual) crossed the line just 5 seconds before the cutoff!!"
In a recent post, Ankita had shared a video of Milind doing push-ups on a train. She captioned the clip, "The 1000000th thing I admire about you: The world is literally your playground."
For those unaware, Milind and Ankita exchanged vows in April 2018 during an intimate ceremony in Alibaug after dating for some time.
