Los Angeles, Feb 13 (NationPress) Hollywood actress Millie Bobby Brown has expressed that she is not very social. The actress revealed that she doesn't "have many friends".
The 'Stranger Things' star joined the Netflix series at the age of 11, and she disclosed that growing up on set, where she was educated privately, has hindered her social skills and made it challenging for her to connect with peers, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic further isolated her from co-stars Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, and Sadie Sink, as reported by 'Female First UK'.
In the latest issue of 'Vanity Fair' magazine, she stated, "I don’t have many friends, because of who I am. I didn’t go to school, so my social skills with people my own age are not the best, and I struggle with that a lot. I missed out on several experiences. But I’m working through them".
According to 'Female First UK', the 20-year-old actress, who is married to Jake Bongiovi, shared that her own "confusion" regarding her identity during her teenage years was mirrored in her role as Eleven in 'Stranger Things'.
She explained, "I incorporated what I was experiencing as a child into her character. Eleven’s identity was something we were grappling with. Should she dress as a girl? Or should she wear her adoptive father Hopper's shirts? Could she be influenced by her friends? At that time, I was unsure of how I wanted to present myself—whether I preferred more feminine, masculine, androgynous, or grunge styles. So I infused that uncertainty into her character".
Outside of acting, the actress also manages an animal rescue center.
