Mumbai, Oct 28 (NationPress) Actors Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Shweta Tripathi have successfully wrapped up the Varanasi schedule for the film adaptation of “Mirzapur.”
Pankaj, who portrays the iconic character Kaleen Bhaiyya, expressed that every visit to Varanasi reinforces his sense of belonging. He shared, “This city possesses a rhythm unique to itself—it’s spiritual, raw, and vibrant. Filming Mirzapur: The Movie here reminded me why this universe resonates so deeply with all of us. Kaleen Bhaiya was born here in spirit, and stepping into his shoes feels like revisiting an old narrative with newfound significance. The warmth and curiosity of the local people make every moment special,” he remarked.
Ali highlighted that Banaras embodies its own form of madness. He, who will reprise the role of Guddu Pandit, added, “This madness is integral to Guddu’s journey. Returning here felt nostalgic yet invigorating. We have lived with these characters for years, yet each new storyline presents fresh challenges.”

The first season features a stellar cast including Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu Sharma, Vikrant Massey, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda.
