Mumbai, Oct 15 (NationPress) Actress Shweta Tripathi is currently filming in Varanasi for the cinematic adaptation of “Mirzapur: The Movie”. During her time at the Ganga Ghat, she participated in the aarti and puja rituals at this revered location.
Shweta expressed her deep connection to the city, stating: “Benaras… this city continually invites me back. My journey here began during Masaan. My Nana attended BHU, my mother wore a Benarasi lehenga for her wedding, and in countless ways, this city is woven into the fabric of my life. (sic)”
She further added, “Even my trainer, Tridev Pandey, hails from here. Mirzapur has its roots intertwined with this region, making Benaras feel like home to me. I cherish the delectable food, the leisurely lifestyle, the flavor of kadak kulhad chai, and the warmth of the locals. Recently, even the weather seems to embrace us warmly (sic).”
The actress highlighted the fervor surrounding “Mirzapur”, sharing that “fans are fervently sharing updates and images from our shoots across Varanasi, akin to receiving live updates from our extended family!”

Regarding the crime-thriller series “Mirzapur”, the narrative revolves around Akhandanand “Kaleen” Tripathi, a crime lord and entrepreneur who reigns over the Mirzapur district in the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh, India.
The inaugural season showcases a stellar cast including Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu Sharma, Vikrant Massey, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda.
