Mumbai, Oct 15 (NationPress) Actress Shweta Tripathi, who is presently filming in Benaras for the cinematic rendition of “Mirzapur: The Movie”, conducted the aarti and puja at the revered Ganga Ghat.
Shweta expressed: “Benaras… this city continuously beckons me back. My connection here dates back to my experience with Masaan. My grandfather attended BHU, my mother donned a Benarasi lehenga for her wedding, and in numerous ways, this city is woven into the fabric of my life.”
“Even my trainer, Tridev Pandey, hails from this area. Mirzapur also has its origins in this locale, making Benaras feel like home to my heart. I adore the cuisine, the leisurely pace of life, the flavor of kadak kulhad chai, and the unpretentiousness of the locals. Lately, the weather seems to embrace us warmly,” she noted.
The actress elaborated on the fervor surrounding “Mirzapur”, stating, “Fans are frequently sharing updates and images from our shoots throughout Benaras, akin to receiving live feeds from our extended family!”

Thus, there will be discussions. The Ganga Aarti today was particularly splendid. Diwali has essentially begun for me.”
On the crime-thriller series “Mirzapur”, the narrative revolves around Akhandanand “Kaleen” Tripathi, a crime lord and entrepreneur who is the de facto ruler of the Mirzapur district in the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh, India.
The first season features a stellar cast including Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu Sharma, Vikrant Massey, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda.
