Mumbai, Oct 7 (NationPress) Actress Shweta Tripathi has begun filming the movie adaptation of the “Mirzapur” series in Benares, where she will reprise her beloved character, Gajgamini “Golu” Gupta.
Shweta expressed to IANS, “Returning as Golu feels like reconnecting with an old friend, a companion who has witnessed my journey, from growth to setbacks, and my continual rediscovery throughout the years. There’s a unique essence about Benares that enhances every story, making it feel more vibrant and deeply rooted.”

Discussing the crime-thriller series “Mirzapur,” the narrative centers on Akhandanand “Kaleen” Tripathi, a crime lord and entrepreneur who dominates the Mirzapur district in the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh, India.
The inaugural season features a star-studded cast including Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu Sharma, Vikrant Massey, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda.
