MK Stalin Thanks Kamal Haasan and A. R. Rahman for Their Role in Celebrating Thiruvalluvar Statue's 25th Anniversary

Mumbai, Jan 2 (NationPress) MK Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, has expressed sincere thanks to actor Kamal Haasan and the renowned musician A. R. Rahman for their invaluable contributions in honoring the 25th anniversary of the Thiruvalluvar statue.
The legendary actor penned a special song, while the acclaimed composer crafted the music for this unique piece. The two-day silver jubilee celebrations celebrated 25 years since the installation of the Thiruvalluvar Statue in Kanniyakumari.
This iconic statue was inaugurated by the late Chief Minister M Karunanidhi on January 1, 2000, and has endured the devastation of the 2004 tsunami, gaining immense popularity. TN Chief Minister MK Stalin took to social media to express his gratitude to actor Kamal Haasan and music maestro A. R. Rahman for their contributions to a special tribute song for this landmark.
At the event, distinguished personalities from Tamil Nadu's literary world discussed how the statue has played a pivotal role in promoting Tamil culture globally.
On his platform, MK Stalin wrote, "Thanks to cinema legend Kamal Haasan and musical genius A. R. Rahman for their contributions towards the Valluvam pottradum silver jubilee festival".
Recently, the Chief Minister unveiled a silver jubilee celebration song titled Valluva Malai, composed by A. R. Rahman and penned by Kamal Haasan.
In a related note, a video featuring veteran actress Zarina Wahab discussing her experiences overcoming challenges with the Malayalam language during the film ‘Madanolsavam’ alongside Kamal Haasan went viral.
The actress recounted, "I still don't know Malayalam, even after working in 29 films. My first film was with Kamal Haasan. I was eager to receive my payment to secure a good flat. I was ecstatic when I got the money, but upon receiving my dialogues, I was overwhelmed and started crying, stuck in a dilemma with the money. I thought I might have to return it, but I wanted to go back".
"I refused to leave the room, prompting Kamal to come in and ask, 'What happened?'. I told him, 'Kamal, I’m so sorry, I can't work, I want to leave.' He encouraged me to stay for a day, promising help. 'You can write your lines on the cutter, and we will prompt you. Just focus on lip movement and expressions, and we will do the dubbing'. Despite my tears, I managed my first shot with their support, and to my surprise, I thought, 'Not bad'. Then came a romantic scene where I held Kamal and noted my lines on his hand. I looked at his hand and thought, 'I could even do a Russian film if someone else dubs'”, she added.
