On Monday, the production team revealed a revised release date for this much-anticipated drama. The third chapter of the beloved 'Drishyam' series will now hit theaters on May 21, coinciding with Mohanlal's birthday.
Originally scheduled for a release on April 2 this year, the film's premiere has been delayed.
In a post shared on his official social media, Mohanlal stated, "The past never stays silent…it only waits. Georgekutty arrives, May 21st 2026. #Drishyam3 | Worldwide Release (sic)." This announcement comes after rumors circulated about the possibility of a release delay.
Sources had previously indicated that the release might be postponed due to the ongoing tensions in the Gulf region.
Mohanlal wrapped up filming for Drishyam 3 in December of last year, and a video showing him celebrating with the cast and crew went viral online.
He began work on this project on the same day he was honored with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest accolade in Indian cinema.
