Mumbai, Aug 6 (NationPress) Director Mohit Suri, who has been garnering significant acclaim for his latest film ‘Saiyaara’, believes that there was a touch of divine intervention during the film's creation.
Speaking with IANS while celebrating his film's success, Mohit shared that this project represents a rare instance when everything aligns perfectly in filmmaking.
He recounted, “When Aditya Chopra viewed the film three months ago in its initial edit, he remarked, ‘Even if it opens low, this film is destined to perform well. It will reach INR 100 crores even with an opening of just INR 3 - 4 crores.’ He understood this because we could observe the film's emotional depth was significant.”
He continued, “I’m not claiming this as a definitive outcome; perhaps the success level wouldn't be as high, but this film would still be successful in its own unique way. It could be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but it will undeniably hold a special place in my life due to the nature of the film we created. However, attempting to replicate this process might not yield the same results.”
“You could implement the same marketing strategy and cast at a different time or even at the same time the following year, and it might not achieve the same impact. This film experienced a certain divine intervention from day one, destined to attract the right people,” he elaborated.
Earlier, Mohit mentioned that due to the film’s success, he has found little time for his family. His evenings are now devoted to monitoring numbers, occupancy rates, and foot traffic in theaters for his film's evening shows.
