Yet, he candidly admits to lacking an understanding of the technical aspects involved in music creation.
The music and box-office performance of his recent film 'Saiyaara' has reaffirmed Mohit’s standing in the film industry. His ability to resonate with the sentiments of the artists he collaborates with may be a key factor in his success.
In a recent conversation with IANS, he explained that to bring out the best in music composer Mithoon, he needs to provide the right motivation.
Mohit stated, “When it comes to Mithoon, it’s all about motivation. This process can be quick or take time, but once he’s inspired, the results are exceptional. I believe that when Mithoon is determined, he surpasses all other music directors, delivering outstanding songs. That’s my responsibility.”
He elaborated, “As a director, my role is to inspire. I don’t possess knowledge about Sur, Taal, or music theory. I’ve never played an instrument or learned music formally. I appreciate music purely based on emotion. My primary task is to emotionally uplift someone like Mithoon, leading to his magical output.”
