Mumbai, May 9 (NationPress) Actress Mouni Roy has showcased her profound patriotism by condemning terrorism and expressing unwavering support for the soldiers safeguarding our nation.
With a heartfelt message on Instagram, Mouni shared an image of the Indian flag and stated: “Though far away and filled with anxiety, we do not desire this war, but we refuse to succumb to terrorism.”
“I pray every moment for the safety of our soldiers... Nothing and no one comes before our motherland! JAI HIND,” she further expressed.
This strong sentiment emerges as India initiates Operation Sindoor, a series of targeted strikes on nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), following the tragic terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives on April 22.
Currently, Mouni is in Scotland filming for Varun Dhawan’s upcoming project 'Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai', which also features Mrunal Thakur, Chunkey Panday, Pooja Hegde, Maniesh Paul, Jimmy Shergill, Rakesh Bedi, Ali Asgar, Kubbra Sait, Rohit Saraf, Rajeev Khandelwal, Nitish Nirmal, and Sreeleela.
For those unfamiliar, 'Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai' is a popular song from David Dhawan's 1999 film 'Biwi No 1', starring Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and Sushmita Sen.
Before heading to Scotland, Varun and Pooja filmed scenes in Rishikesh for 'Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai'.
Mouni was also featured in 'The Bhootnii', alongside Sanjay Dutt, Palak Tiwari, and Sunny Singh. The story follows Mohabbat, who becomes the target of a quirky ghost hunter named Baba, played by the seasoned actor Sanjay Dutt. The film also includes an ensemble cast featuring Mouni Roy, Sunny Singh, Aasif Khan, and Beyounick.
As Mouni nears the end of filming for her current project, she also has 'Salahkaar', directed by 'Khuda Hafiz'’s Faruk Kabir, set for release in 2025.
