Mumbai, May 17 (NationPress) Actor Mukesh Khanna, known for his role in 'Shaktimaan', has criticized both media outlets and social media platforms for promoting a misleading narrative suggesting that India requested a ceasefire with Pakistan.

On his Instagram account, Khanna expressed, "Some channels and YouTubers are attempting to propagate the falsehood that India was so severely impacted by Pakistan that it resorted to pleading for a ceasefire!!(Sic)"

He further remarked that it is simply unbelievable that Pakistan possesses the capability to inflict harm on India.

"How absurd! All I can assert is that how can one think that a country like Pakistan has the strength to harm India to the extent of begging for a ceasefire? It is the other way around. This is evident for everyone to see. No proof is necessary to validate this," he elaborated.

Expressing confidence in the Indian Armed Forces, Khanna added, "In today’s social media landscape, anyone can disseminate information on these platforms. Yet, there is no one to verify the facts. India is significantly superior, both militarily and financially, compared to Pakistan. Period."

He further stated, "There is no future for Pakistan, nor for Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Remember my words," he concluded.

Previously, Khanna had also criticized China for its support towards Pakistan.

He posted a photo featuring Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif alongside Chinese President Xi Jinping. Referring to China's backing of Pakistan as 'sheer hypocrisy,' Khanna remarked on the photo-sharing platform, “WHAT A JOKE! China asserts that it will back Pakistan. China, which stirs unrest in South Asia, declares: China will always support Pakistan for peace and stability in South Asia. Is there a more significant joke than this?.”

On April 27, China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi called for both India and Pakistan to exercise restraint following a terror attack in Pahalgam, which resulted in the tragic loss of around 26 tourists on April 22.

In retaliation to the Pahalgam assault, India initiated Operation Sindoor, targeting terrorist assets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).
