Known for his support of independent artists, he added, "Our focus will be on fair artist payouts and affordable subscriptions, if any. This platform will be built, operated, and served from India. We’ll also host several hackathon events to discover deserving young talent that we envision rising to the top. Thank you for the support over the years; this is my way of adding joy to your lives. Recently, Narayanan composed music for director Pandiraj's 'Thalaivan Thalaivi', featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen in lead roles. Before this, he also composed for director Karthik Subbaraj's 'Retro', starring Suriya and Pooja Hegde.
Last year, Narayanan established his own venture, Rakitaa Entertainment. At its launch, he stated, "I arrived in Chennai in 2004 as a 20-year-old musician, eager to make a mark in the music industry. Over nearly a decade, I faced numerous challenges in showcasing my talent. Those initial struggles eventually paved the way for my success as a film composer."
He continued, "Through this journey, I recognized the necessity for a platform that accelerates deserving musicians' careers, helping them sidestep the prolonged struggles I faced. This vision has now come to life as Rakitaa Entertainment, which I've been developing for the past two to three years."
Launched on his wedding anniversary, Narayanan remarked, "Rakitaa Entertainment is dedicated to prioritizing musicians, ensuring transparency in ownership, payments, and long-term support. We are also set to launch a state-of-the-art studio to empower our artists to explore their creativity."
