Hyderabad, March 21 (NationPress) Actor Naga Chaitanya, celebrated for his recent role in the film 'Thandel', has been honored with the Telangana government's Gaddar Film Award for Best Actor in 2025. In a heartfelt note, he expressed his gratitude to the film's cast and crew, as well as the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana.

Sharing his appreciation on his X timeline, Naga Chaitanya stated that receiving the Telangana Gaddar Film Award 2025 for Best Leading Actor for #Thandel was a true honor.

He shared, "This film has been a profoundly significant journey for me, and I am immensely thankful to have had the chance to be part of this narrative and depict this authentic heroic tale on screen." He went on to acknowledge numerous individuals who contributed to this recognition.

Naga Chaitanya remarked, "My heartfelt thanks to the entire cast and crew of #Thandel, whose hard work made this award achievable. I also extend my gratitude to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana @revanth_anumula Garu, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister @Bhatti_Mallu garu, Hon’ble Minister @KomatireddyKVR garu, and the entire Gaddar Film Awards committee, along with my dearest @AlwaysRamCharan for presenting this award."

It’s noteworthy that Naga Chaitanya's father, Nagarjuna, was one of the first to celebrate the news of his son's achievement. Expressing immense pride, Nagarjuna stated that Naga Chaitanya's outstanding performance in 'Thandel' deserved this recognition.

Nagarjuna took to social media to convey his happiness, stating, "Heartiest congratulations to all the #2025GaddarAward winners! A big thank you to the Telangana Government @revanth_anumula garu @Bhatti_mallu garu for establishing the ANR Award in honor of my father, Dadasaheb Phalke Awardee Akkineni Nageswara Rao garu. He also expressed his joy that the ANR award for this year was bestowed upon veteran actress Jayapradha, whom he described as highly deserving.

Nagarjuna further congratulated Mega star Chiranjeevi for winning the NTR Award and expressed pride in his son Naga Chaitanya for clinching the Best Actor award for his role in Thandel.

For those unfamiliar, the Gaddar Film Awards were initiated by the Telangana state government to honor the legacy of revolutionary poet and balladeer Gaddar, who passed away in 2023. It is important to note that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced the revival of the Nandi Awards for excellence in Telugu cinema, which were renamed after Gaddar. This revival occurred after a hiatus of 14 years.
