Mumbai, Feb 6 (NationPress) Telugu star Naga Chaitanya, who is preparing for his upcoming film ‘Thandel’, has expressed his views on the increasing prominence of Indian cinema on the international platform.

The actor recently discussed with IANS in Mumbai prior to his film’s launch, elaborating on the influence of Indian cinema globally.

He mentioned, “I am extremely pleased that the language gap has diminished, allowing our content to reach audiences worldwide because every actor, director, or technician aspires for their work to gain maximum visibility. In 2023, ‘RRR’ won an Oscar for Best Song. The previous year, filmmaker Payal Kapadia’s ‘All We Imagine As Light’ achieved significant acclaim at the Cannes Film Festival, highlighting the fresh surge of Indian content poised to dominate globally.

In other news, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala recently celebrated their wedding, which was a spectacular event in Hyderabad, attended by prominent figures from the Telugu film industry.

Naga Chaitanya honored his grandfather, the legendary Akkineni Nageswara Rao, by wearing traditional attire known as 'pancha', echoing his grandfather’s timeless elegance during the wedding.

Sobhita Dhulipala adorned traditional jewelry belonging to her mother and grandmother for the ‘Raata ceremony’. This ceremony is a vital pre-wedding ritual in numerous Telugu customs, marking a crucial step before the bride’s formal marriage. During this event, a bamboo stick is planted alongside leaves from mango, jamun, and Jammi trees, all of which are worshipped with sacred items like pancha loha, navaratan (nine gems), and navadhaanya (nine grains).

A sacred potli (bag) is affixed to the pole, and prayers are offered to the pancha bhuta (five elements) and deities from all eight directions. This ritual aims to purify and bless the bride as she embarks on her marriage journey.

A source close to the actress revealed that she wore her family’s jewelry, making the occasion even more meaningful for her.
