Mumbai, Feb 8 (NationPress) Telugu star Naga Chaitanya, who has been garnering significant acclaim for his recently released theatrical film ‘Thandel’, has shared insights into how he prepared for his role.

The narrative unfolds around the actor’s lead character, who embarks on a journey into the sea and inadvertently finds himself in Pakistani waters, leading to his arrest. In an interview with IANS, he elaborated on his preparation for the dialect featured in the film.

He stated, “Once I traveled to Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh, I engaged with the local community, observing their way of life and the challenges they face. Listening to their stories allowed me to immerse myself in their experiences, which I then translated into a cinematic portrayal with Chandu. My preparations included not only my physical appearance—such as growing my hair and beard to reflect a specific look that mirrors their sun-kissed skin from being at sea—but also capturing the essence of their lifestyle.”

He continued, “Additionally, mastering the Srikakulam dialect was a significant challenge that required considerable time and effort. I took lessons and received coaching, ensuring that the sound was accurate during dubbing sessions. This was a time-intensive process. We also conducted workshops focusing on body language, dance, and fight choreography.”

Previously, the actor expressed his views on the increasing prominence of Indian cinema on the global stage.

In a recent discussion with IANS in Mumbai before the film's release, he talked about the expanding influence of Indian cinema worldwide.

He remarked, “I am thrilled that the language barrier has diminished, allowing our content to reach a global audience. Every actor, director, and technician desires their work to achieve maximum visibility. The world is eager to learn about our culture and the narratives from our land.”

“With collaborative efforts among us, we are poised to witness a new wave of innovative content emerging,” he concluded.
