Hyderabad, Nov 5 (NationPress) The much-anticipated trailer for the drama "Shiva 4K Dolby Atmos" was revealed on Wednesday in Hyderabad, featuring Nagarjuna Akkineni alongside director Ram Gopal Varma (RGV).
This re-release marks 36 years since the original film "Shiva" made an indelible impact on Telugu cinema.
During the event, RGV expressed, “It’s a pleasure to share the stage once more after 36 years. We never expected to reunite for the Shiva 4K re-release. I’m immensely thankful for this opportunity and the creative freedom bestowed upon me by Nagarjuna.”
“I dedicated two months to sound design 36 years back, and now, after all this time, I’ve been granted that same creative liberty again. Nagarjuna motivated us to utilize the best technology available to achieve outstanding results. He has consistently believed in innovation and entrusted me with this chance. The original audio has been revamped and transformed into a Dolby Atmos mix through advanced AI engineering. Damodar, who originally crafted the sound effects for Shiva, now has his grandson contributing to this new edition, resulting in a superior experience. The remastered version of Shiva appears remarkably fresh and crisp.”
“While I was born biologically to my parents, my true inception as a filmmaker was gifted by Nagarjuna,” RGV remarked, leading to a heartfelt embrace between the two.
Nagarjuna, who stars in "Shiva", stated, “Thirty-six years ago, Ram Gopal Varma directed Shiva and elevated my stardom. Today, I viewed the remastered Shiva 4K, and it’s outstanding.”
“RGV has diligently worked for the past six months to ensure this re-release succeeds. Watching the remastered version made me ponder why we lack such sound quality in contemporary films. Your parents experienced Shiva with monologue sound, but now you'll enjoy it in Dolby Atmos. Everyone is going to be astounded by the Shiva 4K experience. I would not be surprised if, even after 36 years, we find ourselves on the same stage again,” he added.
