Nana Patekar Shares Captivating Story About His Poem Recited for Madhuri Dixit

Mumbai, Dec 11 (NationPress) Actor Nana Patekar, currently anticipating the release of his new film ‘Vanvaas’, recently made an appearance on the quiz-based reality television show, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 16', hosted by Amitabh Bachchan.

During the episode, the actor expressed his admiration for Madhuri Dixit while recounting his experiences working alongside her.

An audience member inquired about his time with Madhuri Dixit during the film ‘Wajood’.

In response, Nana Patekar remarked, "It was an incredible experience. She is a remarkable actress—gorgeous, an amazing dancer, and as a performer, she possesses everything one could desire. Beyond that, she is a fantastic human being, and I hold her in high regard."

The audience also asked about the poem, ‘Kaise batau mai tumhe’, which Nana recited for Madhuri in the film.

The actor noted, "That poem was penned by Javed Akhtar Sahab and even after 30-35 years since the film's release, it remains vivid in my memory because of Madhuri. I recited it for her, which is why it’s unforgettable. Even today, it feels as if it's flowing through my veins. Whenever someone brings it up, it evokes a flood of memories."

Nana Patekar joined the show alongside Utkarsh Sharma, Simrat Kaur, and writer-director Anil Sharma. He took the hot seat, captivating the audience with his fascinating tales and insights, as he exchanged anecdotes and shared bonds with Amitabh Bachchan over their remarkable journeys. Playing for the Naam Foundation, Nana aims to raise awareness and funds to prevent farmer suicides, a cause dear to him.

‘Vanvaas’ is directed by Anil Sharma, known for ‘Gadar 2’. The film’s team recently hosted a special screening for businessman Vijaypat Singhania, with whom the film resonated deeply.
