Mumbai, Dec 2 (NationPress) Director Anil Sharma introduced the trailer for his latest film ‘Vanvaas’ on Monday, and the film's leading actor Nana Patekar remarked that the film resonates with the spirit.
Nana stated: “Vanvaas is not merely a narrative—it’s a mirror reflecting the emotions we frequently conceal within ourselves. Portraying this character felt like peeling away layers of my personal understanding of family, honor, and belonging. It’s a film that resonates with the spirit, and I am confident that audiences will see reflections of their own journeys within it.”
“Vanvaas” is an emotional journey that explores the intricacies of human relationships. The film redefines the concept of family, highlighting that true connections are often built not just by blood but through love and acceptance.
The cast also includes Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur. The nearly three-minute trailer provides a glimpse into a narrative brimming with vulnerability, resilience, and the search for belonging.
Anil, known for films like “Apne”, “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha”, and “Gadar 2”, shared that this film is “deeply personal” to him.
He further noted: “As it examines themes of love, sacrifice, and the essence of being a family. Nana Patekar, Utkarsh, Simrat, Rajpal Yadav, and others have infused their characters with incredible depth and authenticity. I eagerly await audiences experiencing their journey on the big screen.”
“Vanvaas” is scheduled to premiere in theaters on December 20.
Recently, the creators of “Vanvaas” released the touching song “Bandhan.”
Sharing the music video on their Instagram account, the makers commented, “A harmony of hearts, a connection through music #Bandhan SONG OUT NOW!” The soulful track is a touching melody that highlights the chemistry between the lead actors. Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur portray tender romantic moments, while Nana Patekar brings an old-school charm as he romances his on-screen spouse.
The song features vocals by Vishal Mishra, Palak Muchhal, and Mithoon. Composed by Mithoon, the lyrics are crafted by Sayeed Quadri.
