Mumbai, Dec 7 (NationPress) Actress Snehil Dixit Mehra, who is set to star in the upcoming film ‘Vanvaas’, recently recounted her experience during a meeting with the film's director, Anil Sharma.
The actress, recognized as ‘BC Aunty’ on social media, revealed that the director advised her that she embodies the essence of women in this nation.
Anil also encouraged her to maintain her individuality while simultaneously presenting her with a role that diverges significantly from her previous work.
She expressed, “Upon meeting Anil Sharma Sir, he shared, ‘I’ve watched numerous comedy videos of yours on Instagram, but I envision a completely different role for you. Are you willing to take on the challenge?’ I was captivated. Then he imparted something that resonated with me, ‘Don’t change a thing about yourself; there is no need to lose weight or adhere to any industry standards’.”
She further elaborated, “Audiences desire characters that mirror their reality. You are a representation of the women in this country, and that’s what makes you ideal for this role.’ His words instilled a newfound sense of confidence and purpose in me.”
Her role in ‘Vanvaas’ signifies a pivotal career transition for the actress as she moves from comedy to embodying a multifaceted character immersed in moral ambiguity.
‘Vanvaas’ also features Nana Patekar and Anil Sharma’s son, Utkarsh Sharma.
