Nana Patekar's Disinterest in Watching 'Animal'

Mumbai, Dec 16 (NationPress) Nana Patekar, recognized for his forthright statements, has recently unveiled the reason behind his lack of enthusiasm for watching the movie 'Animal.'

During a recent dialogue with Anil Kapoor regarding his forthcoming film 'Vanvaas,' Nana articulated his thoughts on the Ranbir Kapoor led project.

The actor disclosed that after finally viewing the film, he humorously informed Anil, 'Teri film Anil-mal dekhi.'

Although he was initially hesitant to watch the movie, Patekar acknowledged that after doing so, he recognized Kapoor's performance as the most subdued in the action-laden narrative. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, 'Animal' features a stellar cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Triptii Dimri.

The plot follows Ranvijay (Ranbir), a merciless heir to a wealthy industrialist (Anil Kapoor), whose tumultuous relationship with his father devolves into further chaos after an assassination attempt, propelling him into a vendetta of vengeance and ruin.

'Animal' stands as one of the longest films ever produced in Bollywood, achieving remarkable commercial success both locally and globally.

In the same interview, Nana recounted an incident when Kapoor had him replaced by Jackie Shroff in the film 'Parinda.' Nana shared that he was initially slated to portray Anil Kapoor's character's sibling, but the role ultimately transitioned to Jackie Shroff. The Welcome actor admitted to feeling some ill will towards Anil, believing he had influenced the decision.

However, Anil clarified that the final choice belonged to the director.

On the professional front, Patekar is set to appear in the upcoming film 'Vanvaas,' which also features Utkarsh Sharma. This family drama delves into the relationship between a father and son and is directed and produced by Anil Sharma of 'Gadar' fame.

Nana recently shared the film's poster on his X handle, captioning, '#Vanvaas ki puri journey mere liye bahot hi yaadgaar rahi. Yeh aaj tak ki meri best filmon mein se ek hai.' The poster showcases the veteran actor seated in a suit on a ghat. 'Vanvaas' is scheduled to hit theaters on December 20.
