Director duo Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee on Thursday, 17 September 2026, unveiled a new promotional track titled 'Moydamukho Hit' from their forthcoming Bengali film 'Bohurupi – The Golden Daku'. The song blends folk flavour with contemporary rhythms and is being positioned as a festive anthem for the Durga Puja season ahead of the film's 15 October release.

Sharing their vision for the track, Roy and Mukherjee said in a statement: 'With 'Moydamukho Hit', we wanted to bring out the festive energy of Bohurupi – The Golden Daku in its most uninhibited form. The song has a very earthy, desi flavour and an infectious rhythm that immediately makes you want to move.'

The directors also highlighted the collaborative craft behind the number: 'Bonnie Chakraborty's composition, Ritam Sen's lyrics and the incredible voices of Shrestha Das, Nanichora Das Baul and Bonnie have given the song a distinct character. Maggi's choreography adds to the madness and celebration on screen.'

The music and the team behind it

The track is composed by Bonnie Chakraborty, with lyrics penned by Ritam Sen. Additional lyrics for the chora section are contributed by folk artiste Nanichora Das Baul, whose presence lends the song an unmistakable Baul-rooted texture. Lead vocals are shared among Shrestha Das, Nanichora Das Baul, and Bonnie Chakraborty, while music production is handled by Sudipto Paul. The choreography is credited to Maggi.

'Bohurupi – The Golden Daku' is directed by the Nandita Roy–Shiboprosad Mukherjee duo and produced under the banner of Windows Production. The director duo's track record

Roy and Mukherjee first collaborated as co-directors on Icche in 2011.
