Mumbai, June 26 (NationPress) Renowned actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui received the prestigious Best Actor accolade at the New York Indian Film Festival (NYIFF) for his role in “I'm Not An Actor”, which he describes as a deeply personal and introspective journey.
The film, featuring Chitrangda Singh, was also presented at the NYIFF.
Reflecting on his award, Nawazuddin expressed, “I’m truly honored to be recognized at the New York Indian Film Festival for ‘I’m Not an Actor’. My heartfelt thanks to the jury and the festival team for acknowledging a film that holds great significance for me.”
Directed by Aditya Kripalani, “I’m Not An Actor” showcases the story of a struggling actor in Mumbai who forms a bond with a melancholic retired banker in Frankfurt through online acting tutorials, effectively bridging cultural divides and personal challenges across continents.
Nawazuddin further stated, “I’m Not an Actor is an intimate and reflective journey, and I am sincerely thankful to the director and the entire team for their trust in me for such a multi-dimensional role.
