Mumbai, May 4 (NationPress) Actor Neel Samarthh has been cast in a new series titled 'Sabse Bada Rupaiya'. In this exciting venture, he will portray a quintessential ‘desi boy’ hailing from Lucknow.
Delving deeper into his character, Samarthh shared, "I take on the role of the protagonist—a romantic who passionately falls for a girl. Motivated by love and the dream of a brighter future, he finds himself persuaded to commit a bank robbery. While the series title is catchy and mirrors a prevalent mindset today, I personally do not believe that money is the ultimate goal in life. However, it does hold significance; even purchasing something as simple as an incense stick or coconut for a prayer necessitates funds."
He continued, "I've witnessed wealthy individuals living in despair. Conversely, some might quip, 'It’s preferable to cry in a Mercedes than on a bicycle'—which is humorous yet highlights how comfort influences our perception of sorrow."
On his appearance, Samarthh expressed, “I’ve embraced a classic ‘desi boy from Lucknow’ look. I played around with vibrant hair color and adopted a local style, donning an open shirt over a T-shirt, wearing ear studs, and embodying that rugged, street-smart ‘desi majnu’ essence. This transformation certainly aided me in immersing myself in the character.”
When discussing the show's unique selling proposition, Samarthh remarked, “The charm of our show lies in the innocence of its characters, enhanced by a cast that showcases remarkable talent and commitment. However, the primary reason for our success is undoubtedly the vision, direction, and mentorship provided by our writer-director, Rajeev Mehendiratta. Thanks to his leadership, we managed to complete what was initially a month-long shoot in just 14 days.”
'Sabse Bada Rupaiya' is set to debut on Atrangii on May 2.
