While filming in Kozhikode, the cast and crew chose to celebrate Eid together, enjoying the festive atmosphere along with delicious Biryani.
The 'Jail' star took to his official Instagram Stories to share a video showing the team eagerly awaiting the unveiling of the Biryani pot. As the lid was lifted, everyone lined up to savor the traditional dish.
Neil captioned the video, stating, "Eid celebrations were memorable amidst the stunning landscapes of Kozhikode/Calicut with my amazing director @directorvysakh, producer @jiinuinnovation, @thedonmichael, and the entire crew. Feeling blessed (sic)."
He humorously added, "PS: Best Biryani ever!!! Burp !!"
On Neil's birthday in January, he was officially introduced to the Malayalam film industry by the makers.
Wishing him well on his birthday, Prithviraj Sukumaran, the lead of "Khalifa", shared on social media, “Happy birthday, Neil Nitin Mukesh! Welcome to the Malayalam film industry! #KHALIFA”.
Directed by Vysakh, "Khalifa" marks a reunion between the filmmaker and Prithviraj after a notable gap of 15 years, as they previously collaborated on the blockbuster "Pokkiri Raja" in 2010.
The script, penned by Jinu V Abraham, revolves around a vast multi-million dollar gold smuggling operation that extends from the Middle East to locations as far as London and Nepal, with roots in Kerala.
The cinematography for the film is being handled by Jomon T. John, while Jakes Bejoy is responsible for the film's music.
Chaman Chakko is on board as the editor, and Yannick Ben is directing the action sequences.
Alongside Neil and Prithviraj, the film's ensemble cast also features Tovino Thomas, Mohanlal, and Krithi Shetty.
