Mumbai, December 23 (NationPress) Actress Nia Sharma extended her heartfelt birthday wishes to her close friend and actor-producer Ravie Dubey on his 42nd birthday this Tuesday. She described their enduring friendship as a remarkable journey that has evolved “from annoying to awesome”.

Nia shared a delightful series of pictures and videos from the birthday celebration on Instagram, expressing her joy at making it onto the “strict guestlist”.

She posted: “Happy Birthday fav. bestie. 14 yearssssss onnnn.. From Annoying to Awesome, you’ve hit it out of the park with your hard work! Proud of you friend @ravidubey2312. @sargunmehta I made it in the strict guestlist.”

The strong bond between Nia and Ravie has been evident through their collaboration on the popular television series Jamai Raja, which has garnered immense fan support over the years. Their friendship has flourished, frequently showcased through their playful social media exchanges and public events.

Jamai Raja aired from August 4, 2014, to March 3, 2017, succeeding Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se and paving the way for Piyaa Albela. A sequel titled Jamai 2.0 features Ravi Dubey, Nia Sharma, Shiny Doshi, and Achint Kaur.

Recently, Nia appeared in “Laughter Chefs Fun Unlimited”, alongside Krushna Abhishek, Rahul Vaidya, and others, hosted by Bharti Singh and judged by chef Harpal Singh Sokhi.

Additionally, she starred in “Suhagan Chudail” as a witch named Nishigandha, with Zayn Ibad Khan and Debchandrima Singha Roy leading the cast.

Nia is also recognized for her roles in ‘Behenein’, 'Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’, ‘Meri Durga’, and ‘Kaali - Ek Agnipariksha’. In 2020, she emerged victorious in ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi: Made in India’. Her work extends to web series including ‘Twisted’ and ‘Jamai 2.0’.

On the other hand, Ravie is set to portray Lord Lakshmana in the upcoming film “Ramayana: Part 1.”

Earlier this year, on July 3, the filmmakers of this grand project featuring Ranbir and Yash revealed the first look. The film heavily incorporates CGI, executed beautifully by Prime Focus and Academy Award-winning DNEG, known for winning the Oscar for Best VFX for ‘Dune’.

The film boasts an impressive cast, with Ranbir taking on the role of Lord Ram, Yash as Raavan, and actress Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita. Other notable stars include Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, Amitabh Bachchan as Jatayu, and Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi.

Musical legends Hans Zimmer and A. R. Rahman have joined forces for this film.

The ‘Ramayana’ is envisioned as a two-part live-action cinematic universe, crafted on a scale unlike any before.

Filmed for IMAX, Part 1 is scheduled for a worldwide release during Diwali 2026, with Part 2 following in Diwali 2027.
