Chennai, Jan 16 (NationPress) The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted approval for the highly anticipated thriller 'Baby Girl', directed by Arun Varma and starring Nivin Pauly in the lead role, awarding it a clean 'U' certificate for its release.

Actor Nivin Pauly took to Instagram to announce this exciting news, stating, "Baby Girl has officially received a Clean U Certification. @babygirlmovieofficial Hitting Cinemas on January 23rd!"

As previously mentioned, Nivin Pauly portrays the character of Sanal Mathew in the film.

Last year, on Nivin Pauly's birthday, director Arun Varma shared a motion poster revealing, "In every silence a storm brews… Presenting Nivin Pauly as Attendant Sanal Mathew. Wishing our leading man a fantastic year ahead. HAPPY BIRTHDAY NIVIN PAULY. Baby Girl in theatres soon!!"

The motion poster featured Nivin Pauly cradling a baby. The film's cast also includes notable actors Lijomol Jose, Abhimanyu Thilakan, and Sangeeth Prathap in significant roles.

It’s worth noting that the film's makers had previously released a captivating motion poster that intrigued audiences without revealing much about the storyline. This poster began with a police officer communicating updates to the police headquarters via a walkie-talkie, followed by the introduction of the four main characters. Among them, Abhimanyu Thilakan plays a cop, Lijomol Jose, recognized for her role in 'Jai Bhim', and Sangeeth Prathap, known for his supporting role in 'Premalu'. Finally, Nivin Pauly's face was revealed. Interestingly, the first look poster depicts the four characters gazing in one direction while a crowd of faceless individuals appears to look away.

Produced by the renowned Listin Stephen, 'Baby Girl' has sparked considerable excitement due to its storyline crafted by celebrated writers Bobby and Sanjay, famous for their poignant narratives in films like 'Traffic' and 'Ayalum Njanum Thammil'.

The film showcases not only a stellar cast but also a remarkable technical team, featuring music by Christy Joby, editing by Shyjith Kumaran, and cinematography by Faiz Siddik. The film has two executive producers, Naveen P Thomas and Santhosh Krishnan, with Akhil Yesodharan serving as the line producer.

Costuming is handled by Melwy J, while makeup is credited to Rasheed Ahammed. The film’s action sequences have been choreographed by stunt expert Vicky.
