Mumbai, March 17 (NationPress) The close friend of Bollywood stars and popular social media influencer Orry, whose real name is Orhan Awatramani, has found himself in legal trouble after reportedly consuming alcohol at a hotel in Katra, a sacred town in Jammu & Kashmir near the highly regarded Vaishno Devi pilgrimage site.
The police have filed an FIR against eight individuals, including Orry, for allegedly breaching local laws by consuming alcohol at the hotel.
A statement noted: “Taking cognizance of the complaint regarding certain guests staying at a hotel in Katra who were found consuming alcohol, P/S Katra registered FIR NO. 72/25 on March 15. The guests involved include Orhan Awatramani (Orry), Mr. Darshan Singh, Mr. Parth Raina, Mr. Ritick Singh, Ms. Rashi Dutta, Ms. Rakshita Bhogal, Mr. Shagun Kohli, and Ms. Anastasila Arzamaskina, who all consumed alcohol within the hotel premises.
“Despite being informed that the consumption of alcohol and non-vegetarian food is strictly prohibited in the Cottage Suite, located at such a holy Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrimage site, the guests ignored the rules.”
“Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, strict directions were issued by SSP Reasi Sh. Paramvir Singh (JKPS) to apprehend the offenders, thereby establishing a precedent for zero tolerance towards drug or alcohol consumption at religious sites, which offends the sentiments of the community.”
As per the statement, a team was formed under the guidance of SP Katra, DySP Katra, and SHO Katra to locate those who disrespected local laws and offended the beliefs of the people.
