Los Angeles, April 29 (NationPress) Following her impressive achievements at the Cannes Film Festival, Indian filmmaker Payal Kapadia has officially joined the jury for the festival’s upcoming edition.
The esteemed Cannes Film Festival has assembled a formidable jury for its 78th year, featuring notable names such as Halle Berry, Jeremy Strong, and Payal Kapadia, according to a report from Variety.
This diverse jury, blending actors, directors, and writers, will also include South Korean filmmaker Hong Sangsoo, Italian actress Alba Rohrwacher, French-Moroccan author Leila Slimani, along with Congolese director and producer Dieudo Hamadi, and Mexican filmmaker Carlos Reygadas.
As previously announced, Juliette Binoche will lead the jury, taking over from Greta Gerwig, who presented the Palme d’Or to Sean Baker’s film ‘Anora’.
