Mumbai, Sep 30 (NationPress) Renowned Tollywood and Bollywood star Prasenjit Chatterjee celebrated his birthday on Tuesday. To mark this special occasion, he visited the Durga Puja pandal at Hazra Park on the auspicious day of Ashtami, where he paid homage to Maa Durga with floral offerings.
In an exclusive interview with IANS, Prasenjit disclosed that while he adheres to a rigorous diet throughout the year, he completely indulges during the three days of Durga Puja.
“Today is Ashtami, a significant day, and it’s also my birthday, which is why I visit the puja pandal. Additionally, I have a film that just premiered, so I’m busy with promotions. I revisited my roots in theatre from 19 years ago, making today quite memorable,” he shared.
Expressing his devotion, he remarked, “Like everyone else, I seek blessings from Maa for myself, my family, and my films. We all need mental peace, and I find it here.”
“I do not maintain any diet during these three days, especially on Ashtami and Navami,” Prasenjit confessed.
He further emphasized the importance of unity among Bengalis, especially during challenging times in other states.
On the professional front, Prasenjit recently appeared in the action-adventure film “Devi Chowdhurani”.
Based on Bankim Chandra Chatterjee's classic novel, the film is directed by Subhrajit Mitra.
Featuring Srabanti Chatterjee in the lead role, the cast includes Prasenjit Chatterjee, Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, Alexx O'Nell, Arjun Chakrabarty, Bibriti Chatterjee, Kinjal Nanda, Darshana Banik, Carl Harte, and Dr. Priyadarshini G. Roy, among others.
